My name is Jacobine van Kessel. I am an experienced clinical psychologist, born in The Netherlands in 1976, and now living in the Manning Valley with my family. In 2000 I completed my Masters in Clinical Psychology (Utrecht, The Netherlands) and since then I have completed several post-master registrations (e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapist) and additional training (e.g. Advanced EMDR training, Schema Focussed Therapy).

Since 1998, I have been practicing in a variety of settings (in The Netherlands and Australia), for example: adult mental health departments, crisis intervention, forensic clinics and private practice. Most settings involved working in multidisciplinary teams.

My therapeutic style is warm and personal and my aim is to develop a good therapeutic alliance in order to support and achieve positive change.

I am committed to ongoing professional development through intervision and training. I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority and with the Psychology Board of Australia, endorsed for clinical psychology as an approved area of practice and member of the Clinical College.
